As a seller on Booteeki, you have certain responsibilities to buyers.
You are responsible for fulfilling any orders that are made, and delivering them to the customer in good time. You should be able to dispatch items within 3 days of the order being made, and are responsible for packaging them in a sufficient way to ensure they are well protected in transit. You can set the delivery charge when listing your product, and are free to use your preferred method of delivery.
Any customer disputes arising from the sale of your products is your responsibility, although we are happy to advise you.
If you sell a lot of products, you may be required to register for VAT and charge VAT on your products. The HMRC states you must register for VAT in the UK if you’re:
- a UK seller selling goods as a business activity in the UK, and your business’s VAT taxable turnover is more than £85,000 a year
- selling goods in the UK that are in another EU member state (known as ‘distance selling’) and your sales to UK consumers are more than £70,000 a year
- an overseas seller selling goods as a business activity in the UK (there is no threshold)
